I REALLY want ...

to make a site with different topics like the old site!!! I do miss the categories!!!!!!!!!!! Mommy forum,domestic goddesses, buy/sell/trade etc.

Have someone tell you exactly what all the forums are, then change the names up a bit. LOL I found out last night that my website hosting lets me make a forum also, so I started playing around with it. I came up with "Moms Chat," "Businesses," "Pet Care," "Sports Page," and "Tech" so far. LOL So just alter the names and they can't say squat. LOL

well they have this set up so I can't add forums

its just one big mommy forum and add things to it

I think I'll have joey make us a cool site soon!

I can actually make us one pretty easily. I am a member of a couple of other private message boards using a site called proboards. It's free, and we have lots of different forums. I'm a mod/admin on one of them so am pretty familiar with that site. Let me know if you'd like me to set something up.

When HickoryMommies fell apart they went and found a site with a very similar set up. The Admin panel was the same and everything. It is a great success. They have been open now for over three years and have more members than their "competing" TMN site. If you want any info from her let me know.

I do miss the different categories....and my OCD misses the yellow flags so I know if I have read it or not LOL

I'm working on switching my FB group (Moms of the Piedmont) over to my web hosting (freewebs). Stupid question - am I going to get in trouble if I set it up fairly similar to the TMN sites? As in keep many of the same types of forums grouped together, but change up the names and stuff? I'm adding a forum or two that they don't have so this IS an original forum..... but still.....
